The Role
- Your goal will be to drive sales and revenue growth through new memberships and other business opportunities. This includes communicating a unique, compelling value proposition that is strategically appropriate for each prospect customer and that provides solutions to customer pain points/challenges based on the company’s unique competitive advantages and core competencies.
- Highly commercial and experienced in accurate forecasting.
- Build and support with compelling business cases.
- Identify and generate qualified new leads, convert them to opportunities, close the deal and capture new business opportunities and intelligence
- Establish and maintain contact with decision-makers from prospective customers.
- Identify, maintain and cross-sell to existing members with new enhancements and new service offerings as they develop.
- Undertake market research using the most appropriate sources to gain insight on market trends, customer intel, as well as competitive activities to drive new business.
- Initiate and negotiate the membership agreement and ensure it is fully executed in a timely manner.
- Ensure smooth transfer of membership to Directors / Account Managers.
- Closely collaborate with Marketing and Comms teams.
- Attend conferences as per conference plan and complete form with relevant information as provided by Marketing, and any other relevant intel that may be appropriate for the business.
- Flexible to undertake business travel where necessary and agreed to drive new business.
- Attend UK quarterly sales meetings.
The Person
- The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the Pharma or Biotech or Biomed landscape.
- A proven track record in business development, with the ability to develop strong relationships with high level key decision-makers.
- You will have extensive B2B sales experience within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry, initiating and negotiating contracts for high value orders.
- Highly experienced in revenue/business growth: increase in revenue through strategic partnerships and new business deals.
- Experienced in customer retention, enhancing long-term relationships with key stakeholders to ensure repeat business and continued collaboration.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in order to build credible relationships both within the business and externally.
- Flexible for regular travel to HQ London and Internationally.
- Chemistry/Science related qualification.
