E&I Engineer

Our client

We are delighted to be working with a leading chemical manufacturing company, dedicated to innovation and excellence. They are currently recruiting an E&I Engineer to join their large complex process site in Teesside. 

The opportunity

The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of electrical and instrumentation systems within the chemical plant.

Key Responsibilities:
•    Design and develop electrical and instrumentation systems for new and existing projects.
•    Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
•    Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to electrical and instrumentation systems.
•    Collaborate with other engineering disciplines and departments to optimize plant performance.
•    Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of equipment.
•    Prepare technical documentation and reports.

About you

You will require:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering/ related field. Or HND/ HNC plus equivalent industry experience. 
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical and instrumentation systems, including PLCs, DCS, and SCADA.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
