The opportunity
At Durham Cathedral we are seeking a commercially aware and strategically minded person to our next CFO.
Durham Cathedral is an active place of worship, serving the people of Durham and the wider North East. We are also a world-leading tourism destination, being part of the Durham World Heritage Site. The role
The successful candidate will be joining Durham Cathedral at a time of genuinely exciting opportunity, as we work to develop our nine-year vision and strategy. As a senior member of the Cathedral executive, the CFO will be expected to demonstrate empathy with the mission and vision of the Cathedral; they will perform as part of the leadership team, and assume responsibility for a variety of duties and projects in line with the developing needs of the Cathedral.
Specifically, the CFO will play a significant strategic role towards the delivery of the Cathedral’s objectives through provision of strong financial leadership across our operational activities.
