The Company
Nigel Wright Tech is delighted to be working with a data analytics consultancy who are expanding their team with the recruitment of a Data Analyst.
The Role
The role would involve working with a large business partner across specific data projects. Key responsibilities include:
- Engage business users to understand their needs and translate into technical requirements for development
- Ability to conduct business process mapping and modelling
- Detailed documentation of user requirements
- Source data samples for exploratory analysis
- Apply Kimball data warehousing methodology to inform design and development of dimensional models
- Work with engineers to ensure requirements are fully understood pre-development
The Requirements
Key requirements include:
- Commercial experience of data analysis, working with large datasets through mapping and transformation processes
- Knowledge of Kimball data warehousing methodology (star schema, modelling, ETL)
- Proficient with SQL for analysis
- Knowledge of BI tools
- Basic understanding of Microsoft Azure and Fabric
