Job Title: Credit Control Manager
Location: Blackburn (BB1)
Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 (DOE) + Bonus Incentive
Job Type: Full-Time | 12-Month Fixed Term Contract
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Credit Control Manager to join a well-established and fast-growing business based in the Blackburn area.
This is a key leadership role within the finance operations function, focused on driving cash collection performance, minimising credit risk, and building robust, scalable credit control processes. Working in a collaborative and energetic environment, you’ll help shape and lead a high-performing team, partnering across Finance, Commercial and IT departments to deliver real business impact
Key Responsibilities:

Lead and support the credit control team in the effective management of B2B customer accounts.

Ensure accurate and timely invoicing aligned to contracts and service agreements.

Oversee credit risk, set appropriate credit limits, and manage adherence to internal credit policies.

Resolve escalations and customer queries professionally and efficiently.

Deliver clear, regular reporting on aged debt, cash flow and credit risks to senior leadership.

Identify and implement process improvements, with a focus on automation and efficiency.

Support the optimisation of Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) as part of wider finance transformation.

Define and track KPIs related to collections, data integrity, and team performance.

Champion best practice in credit assessment and customer onboarding.

What we’re looking for:

Proven experience in a senior credit control role, ideally within a retail, wholesale, or multi-site business.

A strong leader with a track record of managing, mentoring, and developing finance teams.

Excellent understanding of B2B credit risk, invoicing, and collections best practice.

Confident communicator with strong analytical and interpersonal skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems; experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 is highly desirable.

High attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
