Salary : £28,500
Location : Newcastle Upon Tyne
Hybrid working : Yes (2 days in office per week)
Working Hours : Monday – Friday, 09:00-17:00

THE ROLE
As a IT Systems Administrator, you will be responsible for the administration of new clinical management systems introduced under a significant digital transformation initiative. Working alongside the Clinical Systems Administrator Lead, your primary duties will include system configuration, user support, training, and troubleshooting. You will work closely with clinical staff and system suppliers to maintain system security, ensure operational efficiency, and provide ongoing support. The role involves testing, documentation, and managing system updates. Your work will contribute to the seamless integration and ongoing success of these systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clinical System Development & Maintenance: Build and apply extensive system configuration knowledge to maintain, develop, and test clinical systems, ensuring accurate recording of changes and collaboration with digital teams and third-party suppliers.
- User & Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with end users, system suppliers, and clinicians to ensure effective communication, service design, implementation, and issue resolution within the Trust.
- Training & Support: Provide comprehensive training for clinical and administrative staff on system use, offer ongoing support, and ensure business continuity during system failures.
- System Testing & Documentation: Perform necessary testing at various development stages, create and maintain documentation, and analyse and resolve complex system queries and issues.
- Process Analysis & Risk Management: Analyse business workflows to convert them into system design, identify and mitigate project risks, and continuously improve clinical system procedures.
YOUR SKILLS / EXPERIENCE
To excel in this role, you'll need a solid foundation in technical expertise, along with relevant experience in IT support or system administration within a healthcare environment.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years in IT support or system administration, ideally within a clinical or healthcare environment.
- Technical Expertise: Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, with strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Soft Skills: Strong ability to communicate clearly and effectively, organisational abilities, problem-solving skills with a flexible and enthusiastic approach to work.
