Nigel Wright are delighted to be working with a mid-sized and established firm of chartered accountants based in Darlington, looking to appoint an Accounts Manager to their growing team.
The Role
As a Practice Accounting Manager a typical day could include:
- Conducting file reviews for a range of business entities.
- Management of day-to-day enquiries to the accounts department.
- Ensuring the smooth running of the accounts department and that jobs are progressing.
- Manage your own small portfolio of clients.
- Assisting the partners of the firm where required.
- Being a point of contact for team members and assisting them with their development.
- Providing guidance and training to junior members of the team.

The Requirements and Process
To qualify for this role as a Practice Accounting Manager, you should:
- Have a strong background in accountancy practice.
- Be confident working with technology.
- Be able to show leadership qualities and the ability to supervise.
- Be a confident and professional communicator.
- Be comfortable and confident working with clients.
