Mark is responsible for the recruitment of professional services staff for clients based in the North East region & Cumbria, across all salary levels.
Typical assignments cover roles within accountancy practices, law firms and back office support roles for corporate clients, including company secretarial, compliance, risk and regulatory disciplines across both the public and private sector.
Mark is responsible for both permanent and contract recruitment, and due to the diverse nature of the desk, has experience of contingent and retained search recruitment processes.
Mark graduated from Stephenson College, Dunelm in 2005 with a 2:1, BA (Hons) in Sport, Health & Exercise, and has over 10 years experience in recruitment. After graduating he worked for IRG, a boutique research company based in North Yorkshire. Here he worked as a researcher providing candidate generation services to some of the largest and most successful national and international recruiters. Over the next four years Mark was promoted into a lead business development role.
In January 2013, Mark moved into recruitment consultancy, working for a leading global IT recruitment company, specialising in the Scandinavian contract market. He then joined the finance recruitment team at Nigel Wright in June 2014, working with North East based clients, providing mid to senior finance staff.
In July 2016, Mark took an opportunity to widen Nigel Wright’s service offering within professional services, with an emphasis on candidate generation and opening new markets whilst diversifying in terms of geography. Something which his varied and all round experience in recruitment to date should allow him to do.
Mark has recruited for a number of international clients including Sage Plc, Engine FM, Puig UK Ltd, Avery Dennison, Formica and Deloitte LLP.
