In order to portray a real representation of the culture here at Nigel Wright, we asked some of our Recruitment Consultants to answer a series of questions about their careers and about working at Nigel Wright. Our German-based Principal Recruitment Consultant Daniel Daccarett shares why he decided to join Nigel Wright, his favourite recruitment project to date, what he enjoys most about working as a Recruitment Consultant and much more.
What has been your favourite recruitment project at Nigel Wright?
We recruited a function with global responsibility for a large FMCG client. I really enjoyed the international approach and reach of the search. Great networking with candidates around the globe.
How do you balance your career at Nigel Wright with life away from work?
This is a very important aspect for me personally. We have two young daughters and I enjoy being able to take them to school in the morning and/or put them to bed at night. This is something that some employers are inflexible about, so I greatly appreciate it.
This is possible because our managers empower us to have this responsibility to work flexibly and meet our commitments. They trust we take care of what needs to be done and therefore give us the opportunity to manage our own time and, for example, work from home, if necessary.
What do you enjoy most about working at Nigel Wright?
It sounds cliché, however, it’s true. The people make the difference. It doesn’t make a difference in which offices you are based. You will always find a professional, open-minded, including/welcoming environment, where people can be themselves, unfold and grow professionally and personally.
What do you find most rewarding about working as a Recruitment Consultant?
Making the right match(es). When you place someone in a new role and you know it’s a good fit, a win-win situation. That’s great I think!
What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
I like spending time outside with my family and dog!
What inspires you on a daily basis?
A fighter. Someone who is relentless in terms of working hard until they achieve what they have set their mind to. Well deserving what they earn/achieve.
Someone who does “the right thing” regardless of whether it is the right thing for themselves or not.
