To assist in their journey, they are now looking to add a Foodservice and QSR Development Chef to their newly minted Nordic Head Quarter in Malmö.

About the position:

Quick Service Restaurants (QSR) and Foodservice (FS) is a central pillar of Nomad’s plan to achieve their goal of growing Green Cuisine and plant-based menu options is a new area for many of their customers and Nomad Foods have the technology to become an essential partner across Europe.

The Foodservice and QSR Development Chef will be instrumental in building the product strategy, combining customer and competitor insight with in-house competencies to deliver brand new products to the market.

This global role will provide culinary leadership within the Green Cuisine Foodservice and QSR market across Europe, be first point of contact for customers from a culinary perspective and be the custodian of food values across Nomad Foods brands and represent these passionately in the internal and external environments.


  • Provide culinary leadership within the Green Cuisine Foodservice and QSR market across Europe and to be first point of contact for customers from a culinary perspective
  • Maintain close links with the MU and the SU making sure that products are right for the market and Nomad’s customer whilst being feasible in production and cost constrained
  • Provide digital content and menu inspiration for customers whilst sharing best practise across Nomad Foods
  • To ideate and develop kitchen prototypes at speed whilst considering factory capabilities, price, CSR and Nomad Foods policies. To use knowledge and benchmarking of the competitive set to deliver superior product solutions
  • Maintain close links with the category teams and suppliers to provide expertise in translating trends and insights to customer specific needs

Your profile:

The ideal candidate will be an experienced Development Chef specifically with a background in the Foodservice / QSR sector and be passionate about plant-based alternatives, vegan / vegetarian / flexitarian diets.

  • Minimum NVQ qualified in professional cookery
  • Previous experience as a development chef within foodservice and/or QSR
  • Good understanding of foodservice and QSR cooking requirements and validation of products using these methods
  • Working knowledge of plant-based and/or frozen product sector is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Fluency in English and at least one other European language. 

This is a customer-facing role with <50% time traveling both in Sweden and abroad to visit and present to customers.
