With 19 world class manufacturing sites and over 8000 colleagues globally, Nomad Foods is well positioned to fulfil the company purpose of Serving the World with Better Food. To assist in their journey, they are now looking to add an RDQ Manager to their newly minted Nordic Head Quarter in Malmö.

About the position:

This brand-new global role has been created to provide technical leadership, implement governance protocols, and manage projects within the Green Cuisine, Foodservice, and QSR team.
It will be the first point of contact for internal and external customers from an R&D and quality perspective and will be instrumental in building the customer and product strategy.

Primarily, the successful candidate will oversee the Green Cuisine foodservice projects, ensuring they deliver against the strategy, business hurdle rates, and liaison between Project Managers, Factory Teams, Regional Product Development Managers, Commercial and the Central Green Cuisine Design Team.


  • To represent Green Cuisine within Foodservice and QSR both internally and externally.
  • Using the wider team, select, ideate and develop kitchen prototypes at speed whilst considering factory capabilities, price, CSR and Nomad Foods policies. To use knowledge and benchmarking of the competitive set to deliver superior product solutions.
  • To identify market & foods trends and utilise these when developing/selecting new product concepts.
  • To drive synergies in our business and maximise rollout opportunities between retail and the foodservice/QSR sector as part of ‘Fewer, Bigger, Better’.
  • Support RDQ Stage-Gate governance alongside PMO and Project Leads.
  • Ensure that projects follow the approved Nomad Foods R&D process and ensures that all relevant specification, artwork and coding requirements are met.
  • Escalates project issues to the Head of R&S Plant Protein in a clear and timely manner.

Your profile:

Our ideal candidate will have experience in either Quality / Product Development / R&D Project Management role. Understand the New Product Development (NPD) process and be passionate about Plant-Based / Vegan / Vegetarian diets.

  • Qualified to at least Degree level in a Technical subject, e.g. Food Science, Chemistry, Engineering, Biology.
  • 5+ years of experience within the Food and Drink industry in a Technical/Product development role.
  • Proven track record of successful innovation within food.
  • Experience of concept development and rapid prototyping.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Fluency in English and at least one other European language.  

This is a customer-facing role with <25% time traveling both in Sweden and abroad to visit and present to customers.
