The Role:


Tefal are now looking for a Product Manager with a strong commercial drive and business development capacity who understands both the sales & marketing aspects of developing the Cookware & Kitchenware business in Nordic. Cookware is the foundation for our company, the biggest and most strategic product category. The role will partner with Tefal-OBH HQ in Lyon to select the best Tefal products (including Jamie Oliver by Tefal) for the Nordic market and develop and implement the product and marketing strategy for Cookware in Nordic. A key part of the job is to convince the sales teams, and external retailers, how Tefal can further grow in Cookware. You will also use your marketing skills and liaise with the Digital and Brand Activation Team to further strengthen Tefal’s position as the #1 cookware brand in Nordic.

In short you are a person who thrives in exploring the big global company’s vast assets (products, brands, expertise) and translate them into new business opportunities in the smaller, entrepreneurial Nordic market. 

You will have 1 Jr Product Manager reporting to you, and you will report to the Nordic Marketing Director. You will be a part of the Nordic Marketing Team who develops and drives all marketing components (TV, Print, Digital campaigns, Social Media, PR, Brand activation in-store&online, Graphic Design and New product development).

Main responsibilities:
  

  • P&L ownership of category
  • Define and implement product and brand strategy in the Nordic region
  • Define and manage assortment and pricing together with the Global Business Units
  • SKU management, assortment optimization
  • Manage product launches and create selling stories for use by KAMs
  • Provide marketing launch package incl. PR for new product launches
  • Develop overall marketing strategies, and define key communication
  • Support to KAMs on building assortment/promo plan with key customers and participate in customer meetings when appropriate. A tight cooperation between sales and marketing functions is key
  • Drive category management projects with Brand Activation team, KAMs and HQ support
  • Track, analyse and act on key consumer insights, market trends, and shopper behaviours

Your Profile:


The ideal candidate has a passion for consumer products, a strong commercial drive and interest, and is equipped with a performance-oriented attitude. The company is a mix of a global giant and a Nordic entrepreneur, so it is important that you are a doer, take own initiatives and aim to have fun at work together with your co-workers. In addition, you have experience in many of the following areas:  
  

  • Bachelor’s degree in business & administration (economics) with major in marketing or equivalent
  • +4 years’ experience as Category/Product Manager within preferably consumer goods industry, small domestic appliances, FMCG or retail marketing
  • Experience from working with leading brand and marketing management in a Nordic organization, and successfully managed and achieved results in a position with high level of complexity in terms of cross function relations and business environment (preferably matrix organisation)
  • +3 years commercial role with profit/loss experience, documented experience of managing a profitable product category business and achieved strong results
  • Senior experience from multi-country commercial negotiations, could be from Product Management or roles within Business Control, Key Account Management or Pricing Management
  • Strong analytical skills, easily communicates through numbers and business cases for various stakeholders
  • Strategic skills and vision, and ability to convert into operational business solutions
  • Entrepreneurial drive, ability to lead, ready for change, and able to act in a Nordic team and international group with many different actors
  • Excellent in speaking and communicating orally and in writing in English (mandatory), and preferably also one Nordic Language
  • Excellent and proven presentation skills with high ability to adapt communication and self for various audiences
  • Excellent in MS Office package (excel and power point especially)
