Purpose of the role

The Customer Marketing Manager role is a diverse mix of sales, marketing and data-driven customer development. In this role, you will work closely with the sales, marketing and business development team across all of Solera’s categories and brands. The role owns and manages the commercial annual planning cycle for On-Trade/Wholesaler and hence secures a sales driving channel marketing plan in place. This plan should present platforms to maximize touchpoints across the customer and consumer journey yet also secure that it caters to the needs of our strategic brands and contributes to key channel profitability KPIs. As a Customer Marketing Manager, you will develop the business of our OnTrade and Wholesaler customers together with the sales team, plan and implement marketing activities for our brands and build insight based category plans that can be presented to customers. You will be responsible for analyzing and monitoring market trends in our categories, reviewing sales in our product categories, driving net revenue management from an activation and portfolio perspective, proposing concrete actions and actively seeking new growth opportunities both strategically via joint business plans and tactically via activation to develop our and our customers' business. The role is key for alignment and collaboration between sales and marketing.

This is a strategical role with a strong hands-on attitude.


Responsibilities and main tasks

- Ownership of the annual channel marketing plan. Responsible for shaping the annual plan to maximize touchpoints across customer/consumer journey as well as execution, effectiveness and measurement of our clients' customer marketing activities.
- Drive Revenue growth management through an activation and portfolio perspective.
- Own the process of developing and implementing Joint Business plans with key customers.
- Monitor and analyze the market development of our strategic brands and deliver commercial action proposals to strengthen sales and profitability.
- Manage and execute various marketing initiatives across OnTrade and Wholesaler channel i.e customer events and campaigns
- Track and analyze sales performance metrics to measure activation effectiveness and optimize strategies.
- Work closely with Marketing to build commercial plans for our brands, based on the Solera’s strategy and objectives and our customers. Owning the channel perspective of the commercial plans.
- Build effective and strong networks both internally and externally, especially key customers to foster brand loyalty and advocacy.
- Work closely with Key Account Managers - you will be actively involved in client work. You will build commercial plans and be extensively involved in our sales channel activities.
- Conduct analysis to identify customer needs, preferences, and buying behaviors.

Core professional skills, competencies and background

Core professional skills & competencies:

- Experience: Significant experience of creating and executing strategic channel marketing plans and setting activation platforms that deliver customer value while also securing profitability (ROI) and on-brand activations. Ideally in a managerial or leadership capacity.
- Channel Execution: Strong understanding of customer journeys and sales touch points from an On-Trade/Wholesaler perspective. Knowledge of channel best practices with regards to promotional mechanics, flagships, ambassadors, visibility etc in order to drive preference and conversion both towards customer and consumer.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Demonstrated ability to draw and communicate conclusions from complex data.
- Presentation skills: Experience of presenting activation plans/analyses to key external stakeholders in business reviews.
- Revenue Growth Management: Experience of growth revenue management and solid basic finance skills. Experience of conducting and driving the implementation of Joint Business plans.
- Project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fastpaced environment.
- Budget Management: Experience in managing marketing budget, including allocating resources effectively to maximize ROI.
- Strategic doer: Strong strategic thinking and planning skills to develop long-terms customer marketing strategies yet experienced enough to balance strategy and actionability and get things done.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills are necessary for creating effective marketing materials, presenting strategies to internal stakeholders, and engaging with customers through various channels.
- Relationship Building: The ability to build and maintain strong relationships with both internal teams and external partners, including customers, is crucial. Customer Marketing Managers often collaborate with cross-functional teams, sales teams, and key stakeholders.
- Analytical: Data driven.

Preferred background and profile:

- A bachelor's degree in marketing, business, communications, or a related field
- Fluent in Swedish as well as in English, both verbal and written.
- 5-7 years of experience in customer marketing or a related field in the FMCG industry
- Proven track record of developing and executing successful channel marketing strategies.
- Background in Customer Marketing, Sales, Marketing or Retailing. Previous customer-facing work is a plus.
- Passion towards brands, driving sales and beverages is a clear advantage
