The Scandi Standard group was founded in 2013. The company consists of the leading chicken operators in Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland and Ireland. Kronfågel in Sweden, Danpo in Denmark, Den Stolte Hane in Norway, Naapurin Maalaiskana in Finland and Manor Farm in Ireland.

Chicken has an exciting future and with Scandi Standard at the forefront, we see stable, long-term growth in the chicken market. This is due to a number of things: chicken is an affordable protein source which also has good climate and health benefits compared to other meat proteins. Purpose & impact:

Kronfågel has decided to recruit a new Director to head up the Live Operation organization. The person will develop the current organization from a people-, process- and system perspective. The objective will also be to develop and secure best in class collaboration with key stakeholders across the entire value chain. The successful candidate will have established a performing organization, achieved trusted relationships both internally and externally, as well as ensure animal welfare to the highest quality.



  • Follow applicable laws and regulations and be responsible for them within the business area as well as the company’s policies, guidelines, routines, rules, and instructions
  • Set the strategic planning to ensure that the function supports the organization’s goals
  • Manage budgeting and financial management to maintain cost-effective production
  • Drive change management with the ability to achieve long-term change within the business by developing managers and employees towards set goals and results
  • Responsible for purchasing and pricing chickens from breeders
  • Responsible for and leading the Preparation and Negotiation Committees
  • Responsible for educating, monitoring, and supporting Kronfågel’s breeders & suppliers towards better animal welfare & efficiency through counselling and control visits as well as (KF quality program-revisions) Scandi Standards Chicken Quality Program
  • Work towards improving and following up on deviations in the value chain SweHatch-Kronfågel, to ensure good animal welfare across the value chain
  • Work strategically with future chicken breeds as well as feed and increase knowledge in pricing and sustainability
  • Responsible for developing the Live Operation organization so that SweHatch and SweChick act as a single unit
  • Together with Supply Chain & Operations and LTP processes, secure necessary areas, breeders,and other partners
  • Work to ensure that the function, together with breeders and the Planning Department, proactively work to achieve target weights and improve flow and ensure punctual deliveries
  • Support in other possible projects related to breeding & animal welfare
  • Participate in cross-industry discussions, forums, e.g. Svensk Fågel
  • Identify and manage risks in production to maintain continuity and reliability
  • Use data analysis and key figure measurement to monitor, analyze, and identify areas for improvement


  • Establish strategies and goals for the function
  • Establish budget and purchasing responsibility for live animals with associated budget responsibility
  • A member of the company’s management team, participant in the Scandi Live Operations team
  • Lead and distribute work, personnel responsibility
  • Responsible for Kronfågel’s total need for number of chickens, volume, weights, and all components that make up our pricing model towards breeders
  • Authority to represent Kronfågel in discussions with breeders, industry organizations and authorities

  • MCs in Agriculture, Finance and/or Supply Chain or relevant field of study
  • Experience from large companies in a management team position
  • +7 years work life experience from relevant industries; Agriculture, Food production, Retail or similar
  • Proven experience from change management in a fast-changing environment
  • Program- and project management skills
  • Fluency in Swedish & English
