About the role:


We are looking for a Nordic Plant Manager for the Gevalia plant in Gävle, Sweden and the Friele Plant in Bergen, Norway. The role covers two sites in two countries with two cultures and business environments.

We are looking for a dynamic and results-oriented plant manager who is ready to lead our production facilities to new heights. You will play a crucial role of building the factory of the future, by driving cultural and behaviour change and introducing new technologies and processes to improve our business. you will play a crucial role in managing our brands and driving them forward into the future. Our sites and brands are an important part of the local identity and communities.

The position is based in Gävle, Sweden, with frequent travelling to the Friele plant in Bergen, Norway.

Job description:


The Plant Manager ensures the successful delivery of all key business processes from supplier to customer providing products that add value to customers and stakeholders.

You will be a proactive partner to our Nordic and European businesses, where you support, drive and accelerate innovation in our markets. You will ensure that the factory continues to be pilots in their respective areas of strength.

The role manages optimal alignment between demand requested by Planning and supply taking into account SHE, efficiency, flexibility, security of supply, optimized cost, quality, service levels, company values and local legal requirement.

  • Sets SHE culture and role model behaviours.  Accountable for SHE requirements and legislation implementation and ensure compliance to legal and corporate standards & policies.
  • Delivers manufacturing excellence within the plant through engaged leadership and coaching.  Drives a culture of engagement and develops capabilities.
  • Has clear understanding and accountability of plant costs and plant performance delivering the annual AOP to ultimately deliver the VCP
  • Delivers plant KPIs in SHE, Quality, Cost, Delivery and Engagement (according to KPI tree)
  • Drives zero loss, defects and 100% engagement culture by supporting continuous improvement approach.
  • Leads and role models output of MOS supporting roll out and further development with hands approach by leading the Leadership Pillar
  • Defines priorities and delivers projects resourced appropriately against critical business needs.
  • Ensures the plant is continuously fit for future to include transformation, such as organizational structure and evolution of technology and improvements.

Qualifications:


For this role as a Plant Manager Bergen and Gävle, we’re looking for someone who has the following skills and experience:

  • At least 5 years of professional experience in an FMCG manufacturing managerial position, such as plant manager. 
  • Min of 5 years in Leadership role with strong focus on developing teams 
  • International and\or cross-functional exposure, collaboration, and stakeholder management
  • High Performing Organization including the correct behavior and effective organization structures and processes.
  • Experience of change management within the factory to improve organization performance, including Safety and Quality.
  • Cultural understanding of the Nordic´s, 
  • Ability to communicate transparently, consistently, and clearly, with different stakeholders.
  • Ability to see, create and involve people and business representatives in new opportunities ahead.
