Financial Controller

About the Company:

We are looking for a star on the rise to support a growing finance team a new Group Financial Controller. This newly created role is a result of rapid growth and will be tasked with securing financial processes, accounting principles, and ensuring timely and accurate reporting.  Our client have high ambitions for the future and are starting already now, to prepare the financial processes, reporting and internal controls required of a stock market listed company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive the financial closing process, ensuring timely and reliable preparation of monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reporting for internal and external stakeholders
  • Preparation of quarterly and annual reports in accordance with IFRS and taking lead in the audit processes connected with these reports
  • Ensuring compliance with IFRS and other applicable accounting standards
  • Developing and streamlining of our financial processes, tools and reports
  • Treasury management including cash flow planning and currency management
  • Coordination with tax advisors to ensure compliance requirements are met
  • Establishing and further developing financial policies procedures and internal controls
  • Any other ad hoc tasks based on organizational needs

Qualifications: 

  • University degree in accounting
  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience of Audit, Accounting or a similar role, including experience at a larger audit firm
  • Experienced with IFRS accounting standards
  • Knowledge of managing multinational tax, VAT, and statutory requirements
  • Strong knowledge of technical accounting and reporting requirements
  • High interest in tech systems and process automation
  • Strong Excel skills
