About the Job:
We are looking for a highly motivated Finance Controller with a creative problem-solving mindset to our beautiful Studio.
As the Finance Controller for Scandinavia at BYREDO, you will be the trusted key partner to our Creative Studio, Founder and Commercial and Retail teams, providing insight and analysis to drive improved business performance. In this role you will be a vital part of the BYREDO Finance team, working close to the business.
With your high analytical skills and attention to detail, you will identify associated risks within the business. You will proactively suggest and implement controls as necessary and ensure that the internal and regulatory reporting is correct and timely. The role reports to the EMEA Finance function.
Responsibilities:
Main responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Partner with department heads to provide data and reporting and to improve processes, tools and reporting.
- Partner with the Area Manager (retail, wholesale and distributers) to assess risks and opportunities in sales.
- Prepare the weekly sales estimate with analysis of main variations vs budget and previous year.
- Prepare monthly financial reporting including global P&L, Advertising & Promotional cost, Fixed Costs, and other main financial indicators.
- Ensure financial accuracy and rigour of financial records.
- Provide support on invoice codification and provision management.
- Contribute to the Budgeting and Forecasting processes for P&L, ensuring its coherence, accuracy and timely submission.
- Provide assistance to other departments/GM by analyzing financial performance, conducting business reviews, identifying risks and opportunities to maximize the P&L and suggest corrective actions when necessary.
- Identify opportunities to improve tools and reporting to provide meaningful financial insights to the other team members.
- Perform Ad hoc analysis when required.
About you:
You have several years of experience in Financial planning and analysis, with a passion for beauty and luxury. If you have experience in the retail and wholesale industry, it is considered highly merited.
With your people-oriented mindset, you have a supportive and collaborate way of working to build trust by being honest and credible. With your strong communications skills, you are used to communicating with internal and external stakeholders on different levels and are able to adjust your communication to your audience.
To be successful in this role, you must be able to work and move in a fast-moving, dynamic environment with the ability to prioritize.
Other desired qualifications and soft skills:
- Bachelor degree in Finance, Business or equivalent.
- Preferred previous knowledge on SAP
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and organization skills.
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Good interpersonal skills, able to build rapport at all levels.
- Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, SAP/BW experience being a strong plus
- Fluent in English. Strong skills in Swedish are highly merited.
