At Leilac we’re passionate about enabling the transition to a carbon neutral world by providing the most compelling decarbonisation solution for global cement and lime.
Leilac’s technology is being developed to efficiently separate CO2 released unavoidably from the processing of limestone ready for use or storage, without additional chemicals or processes. It is designed to be low cost, scalable, retrofittable, energy agnostic and electrification ready, providing the most economical pathways to carbon free cement and lime.
Leilac’s vision is the rapid creation of sustainable cement and lime for industry, global society and our planet. Our purpose-driven team are unwavering in their commitment to solve this urgent global challenge.
For the Calix LEILAC1 pilot plant in Lixhe, Belgium, we are now looking for a Plant Engineer. The LEILAC technology (Low Emissions Intensity for Lime and Cement technology), developed by Calix, aims to enable the efficient capture of the unavoidable process emissions from lime and cement production. The first step in applying the technology to the cement and lime industry was taken with the construction of the LEILAC1 Pilot plant in 2019. The pilot plant is designed to operate at up to 240 tonne per day (tpd) input and directly separating 85 tpd of process CO2.
The Plant Engineer will be responsible for supporting Pilot Plant Manager with the operations and maintenance of the Calix LEILAC1 pilot. This role will support safe operation, execution of any upgrade and optimisation projects, managing routine and as required maintenance and repairs including all required contractors and suppliers.
