About the role

The purpose of this role is to drive commercial activities and to contribute to the further development and growth of selected and new customers by strengthening existing relations, developing new relationships and introducing more sophisticated products/solutions to the customers to create a category insight driven and better shopper experience.

Area of responsibilities

Business Planning:

• Create and implement customer plans with quarterly actions for selected customers
• Budget planning together with Management

Sales Management:

• Develop a proactive approach with the customers to win new business and increase sales volumes. Develop and nurture existing customers
• Pricing and gross margin responsibility within HL policies
• Offering and tender processes
• Statistics and follow up


• Teamwork with HL organization such as Customer Project Managers (CPM) and Customer Service Officers (CSO) as well as HL Product Managers and design centers when needed
• The Key Account Manager can have from time to time a training role

• Some travelling within the region/country/area 

Professional background 

• Background in sales and Key Account Management

• Retail and/or FMCG background
• General understanding of business finances

Educational background 

• University/college graduate

Language & IT 

• Mandatory: Fluent in English (both written and spoken) and Norwegian
• Good skills in MS Office tools

• Smart and hardworking style
• Combines the ability of strategic thinking with a strong hands-on attitude
• Able to manage his/her business independently but also as a team player
• Good interpersonal skills
• Ability to build credible relationships quickly
• Able to manage difficult situations with customers and turn them into win-win-situations
