Are you an experienced Category Sourcing Manager, working with logistics?

We are looking for a Category Sourcing Manager to lead our indirect sourcing activities in Logistics, such as road freight, ocean freight, warehousing and pallets. You will work in a project mode with colleagues from logistics within integrated supply and customer service department in Paulig. Your purpose is to systematically drive efficiency and cost savings and further build on the way-of-working in the area of indirect sourcing. Reporting to the Head of Indirect Sourcing, this role will be located in Roeselare, Belgium.
 

Key tasks and responsibilities

  • Develop and implement indirect category strategies and plans, together with the stakeholders within Paulig’s logistics organization.
  • Develop and maintain category plans that identify opportunities for operational efficiencies, drive cost savings, manage risk, improve safety, drive innovation, and ensure the continuous development of the logistics category.
  • Ensure that the products and services are always sourced at best competitive conditions, based on given specifications, at high and stable service level. 
  • Identify innovative procurement solutions that provide cashable savings and process efficiencies for the organization
  • Negotiate, implement, and evaluate agreements including price, terms of payment and lead time.
  • Comprehensive management of supplier relationships, including selection, execution, data management, contracting, risk management, development, and quality & sustainability
  • Develop and maintain expert knowledge of respective global supply markets, competitors, and product innovations

About you

To be successful in this role you have a proven track record of managing a complex indirect sourcing category and driving for synergies and savings. You are driven, show tenacity and continue to strive to reach goals, despite any obstacles. Key qualifications 

  • 8+ years of logistics sourcing experience in a relevant industry
  • University degree in relevant field, such as supply chain management, engineering or business. 
  • Strong ability to build strategic partnerships and confidence in engaging with senior stakeholders. 
  • Excellent negotiation and problem-solving 
  • Strong project management- and leaderships skills. 
  • Fluent in English, proficiency in Finnish and Swedish is an advantage
