Burger King is one of the world’s most iconic Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) brands, known for its flame-grilled burgers and bold, innovative marketing. As they continue their growth journey in the Scandinavian market, they are looking for a forward-thinking Chief Digital Officer (CDO) to lead their digital transformation and drive cutting-edge digital strategies that enhance customer experience, operational efficiency, and revenue growth.
The Chief Digital Officer (CDO) will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive digital strategy to position Burger King Scandinavia at the forefront of the digital QSR landscape. This role requires a strategic leader who can leverage technology, data, and digital innovation to enhance customer engagement, optimize online and in-store experiences, and drive omnichannel sales.
The role reports to the CEO of Burger King Scandinavia and may be based in either Sweden, Denmark or Norway.
Key Responsibilities:
- Digital Strategy & Leadership: Develop and execute a long-term digital vision aligned with the company’s business objectives.
- Omnichannel Customer Experience: Enhance digital touchpoints, including mobile apps, online ordering, self-service kiosks, loyalty programs, and delivery integrations.
- Data & Analytics: Utilize customer insights and analytics to optimize personalization, pricing strategies, and marketing effectiveness.
- E-commerce & Digital Sales: Drive revenue growth through online channels, ensuring seamless integration with in-store operations.
- Technology & Innovation: Identify and implement emerging digital technologies (AI, automation, etc.) to enhance operational efficiency and customer engagement.
- Digital Marketing & CRM: Oversee digital advertising and customer relationship management (CRM) initiatives to maximize brand reach and engagement.
- Partnerships & Vendor Management: Work with technology providers, third-party delivery platforms, and digital agencies to enhance digital capabilities.
- Cybersecurity & Compliance: Ensure that all digital initiatives adhere to data privacy regulations and cybersecurity best practices.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Digital Marketing, Business, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in digital transformation, e-commerce, or technology leadership roles within QSR, retail, or consumer-facing industries.
- Proven track record of developing and implementing successful digital strategies.
- Strong understanding of digital marketing, CRM, and data analytics.
- Experience with digital platforms, mobile applications, and online ordering systems.
- Leadership experience managing cross-functional teams.
- Fluency in English; proficiency in Scandinavian languages is a plus.
