Commercial Analyst

Cermaq is a leading global supplier of salmon with operations in Norway, Canada and Chile. Our mission is to drive the transition towards healthier and more sustainable food. In Norway our farms are located North of the Arctic circle where we produce premium slow raised salmon known as ‘True Arctic Salmon’. We supply a global market of approximately 30 countries. Commercial Analyst

For a newly established role, we are looking for a Commercial Analyst to support our sales organization with analysis and marketing support. You will be the right hand to the Sales Director, working on sales optimization projects and the development of our sales strategy. In this exciting role, you will use your analytical skills in Power BI to develop sales reports, be responsible for sales tools and concepts, and ensure effective communication with our customers in cooperation with the sales managers. As we are a global brand, you will be responsible for planning and executing expos worldwide, as well as working on branding initiatives and promotions. This is a dynamic role with a mix of analysis and marketing in an exciting industry.

Tasks

  • Analysis of sales development and performance
  • Develop and maintain weekly and monthly sales reports in Power BI
  • Analysis of market development and available consumer studies and trends
  • Research and identify new business opportunities, including new markets, customers, growth areas, partnerships, etc.
  • Develop and maintain branding initiatives, such as joint marketing activities with retailers and customers
  • Drive effective communication with all partners together with the Sales Managers to strengthen relationships with key partners

Who are you?

We believe you are a proactive and independent person with a learning mindset. Experience from the salmon farming industry is an advantage, but you may also have background from sales analysis, category management, or marketing in other industries, such as FMCG. You are highly analytical, with a commercial perspective and an interest in marketing.

Desired skills and qualifications 

  • University degree in a relevant field: business analytics, marketing, finance, or economics
  • Experience in a role with an emphasis on analysis
  • Skilled in using data and analysis for commercial and strategic decision-making and strategy
  • Proficient user of Power BI
  • Excellent communication skills in English and the ability to create compelling presentations
  • Ability to work independently and connect with others to retrieve information as needed
  • Highly motivated to work in the fish farming industry
