IPN have two powerhouse brands in Harringtons and Wagg, with the former being the fastest growing brand in the pet food category in the UK. They are the number one manufacturer in the UK for dry dog food and are expanding fast into new categories, such as premium, wet food, treats, cat and beyond.
IPN have invested more than £55M in their supply chain facilities over the last fifteen years and have impressive facilities near Thirsk, North Yorkshire and in Kinmel, North Wales. They have a track record of doubling in size every five years, with the next step to grow from £110m to £200m.
Reporting to the Group Operations Director, you will take ownership for the modernisation and cultural transformation of the Quality team across Thirsk and Kinmel to create a world class quality function to underpin IPN’s future growth. Working closely as part of a collaborative and pro-active team, you will provide effective leadership and management to your people and deliver a pro-active and exceptional quality service to the plants whilst raising the profile of Quality throughout IPN. Continuing to drive IPN’s agenda’s in product quality, process quality and environmental, you will look to develop an effective roadmap to step change quality proficiency and transform the team into a world class quality function that is central to IPN’s continued growth ambitions.

Degree qualified, as a highly experienced Head of Quality you will have a proven track record in providing effective leadership and management of a large complex quality team for a food or pet food manufacturing business. You will have previous experience in the large-scale transformation and development of a world class quality function to meet business needs, both systems and behavioural. As a passionate & energetic leader, you will demonstrate the ability to champion quality at all levels throughout the business and pro-actively developed an effective road map to drive quality improvement. With a dynamic, collaborative and engaging communication style, you will demonstrate the ability to challenge and be challenged whilst leading, managing & coaching your team to reach their full potential in a business that can offer ongoing career development.
