Job purpose
Developing and implementing the strategic and operational product strategy of the Gourmand Products in Belgium and abroad in the short and long term and ensuring optimal implementation of the action plan
Key Result Areas (accountabilities)
1. Managing the product life cycle PLC flow from A to Z:
a. Maintain and coordinate the database and ensure the deployment of the PLC flow of all phase in the different departments
b. Propose & take corrective actions in agreement with Marketing Manager & Commercial Director
2. Managing the new product launch (NPD) from idea to launch at customers:
a. Build marketing intelligence for the products at customer – competitor – consumer level (trends, ricing, new products, etc.)
b. Together with Product Marketing Assistant and the communication specialist you develop & implement timely and qualitatively the approved plan
c. Coordinate, communicate and lead the product launches with different suppliers
d. Evaluate the impact of the implemented initiatives and make recommendations for future optimizations
e. Manage the product portfolio taking into account the product life cycle
3. Function as ambassador of the Gourmand products portfolio internally & externally:
a. Provide product training & presentations to the sales team & clients
b. Act as facilitator between different departments (marketing, R&D, finance, supply chain, sales, etc.) regarding all events associated with the implementation of the product strategy for all Gourmand products (existing & new)
c. Manage the brand (brand awareness & product recognition) of all Gourmand products together with the communication specialist
Profile
Education & experience
- Bachelor/Master degree in Business Management, Marketing & Communication or equivalent from experience.
- Experience in Food / FMCG Marketing
- Fluent in Dutch, English and French (optional)
