How we help you

Representing you

We think of ourselves as your ambassador and strongly believe it’s important that you always experience excellent service, even if your application isn't successful. We handle all correspondence on your behalf, saving you valuable time and hassle.

Consultant knowledge and expertise

Once registered as a candidate, a consultant with detailed knowledge of your industry sector and discipline will be assigned to you. Our service to you is free and our commitment is to do as much as we can to help you find your next job. We will only put you forward for roles that are specifically suitable to you. As a market leader, we receive a constant flow of relevant roles that we present to suitable candidates; but we will not put you forward for a role without first discussing it with you. Over time many of our candidates build a lasting relationship with their consultant, which continues as their career develops.

The interview process

We will provide you with a full briefing of the role, the company and the process to expect. We only put candidates forward for roles they are interested in and capable of undertaking. Should you be rejected, we provide any feedback to you verbally and reasoning behind our decision is fully explained.

Offer Management

Naturally, we feel that every stage of the recruitment process is vital, yet we consider the offer management stage to be crucial. We pride ourselves on being able to manage this delicate stage professionally, whilst remaining unbiased. We often act as a bridge between client and candidate and we will negotiate on your behalf to ensure that an agreement is reached which suits both parties.

Referencing

We provide a referencing service to our clients, who will receive a report detailing your education and professional qualifications, as well as your key competencies for the role. This gives them an excellent all-round perspective on your background and provides them with reassurance that we have found the right person for the right position. You will be treated with complete respect at all stages of this process and can also take comfort that we carry out these checks. Confidentiality is of great importance to us; your details will only be shared with a company in the final stages of the offer process.

Post placement

Once the placement is agreed, we arrange a post-placement review meeting where we can discuss the entire process. The process is important as we ask for candidates’ comments, building a continually better experience with each appointment.

HOW YOU CAN HELP YOURSELF

Whilst we are working on your behalf there are steps you can take to ensure you get the role you want.

Keeping in touch with your consultant

Your consultant will be more effective if they are clearly about you want. So keep in touch with your consultant if you find yourself a job, your requirements change or if your CV changes significantly.

Networking for success

The key to successful career development is to liaise with people you already know in order to develop a wider network of contacts. This should enable you to understand what is happening within the current marketplace and if there are any opportunities people may be aware of.

When you are looking for a job, you should let the influential people around you be aware of your situation. Make a list of friends and family who are employed, as well as present and past colleagues. After you have compiled your list, contact them by phone or email. The process should be relatively informal since you already have an association with these people.

Some ideas for key questions you can ask are:

What would be the best way to get into X company? Do you know anyone that could help me in this area? Do you know of any companies that are currently recruiting in the area I am looking to work in?

It might be an idea to distribute copies of your CV to your contacts because this could lead to it ending up in the hands of your ideal employer. Networking is a great opportunity to meet people you don’t know and is key to successfully finding your next job. For example, many companies exhibit at industry trade shows where you can talk to employers and apply for jobs on the day, or there may be professional organisations that you can join where you will be able to meet fellow professionals within your sector. Make sure when you go that you have prepared some key questions to ask and have an up-to-date CV with you.
