An excellent career opportunity has arisen where you will be a key player to drive the expansion of Pågen’s International business together with a dedicated team. We are looking for an experienced and commercially-savy International Director who is motivated to be a part of Pågen’s future growth journey!

This role will give you the opportunity to influence and drive the international growth and success of the international business. You will be responsible for setting as well as executing Pågen’s international strategy. You will actively participate and be an integral part of the management team. You will ongoing work closely with key stakeholders within i.e. Finance, Marketing, Sales, Category, Supply Chain, HR and IT. You will have the opportunity to make an impact on the team’s development as well as the ways of working. You will also be involved in different cross-functional projects. 

This is a hybrid role but will be based out of the HQ in Malmö and report directly to the Group CEO.  

Travel on a monthly basis is required for this role and includes direct reports in other countries. All International offices / markets are equally important however the largest international markets as of today are; Denmark, Finland, Germany and Norway.

What will you do?

As International Director you will be responsible for Pågen’s overall international business growth and to identify, recommend and define opportunities for business development across international markets. You will lead and develop the business unit against set annual goals and long term agreed category portfolio and market strategies.

On an ongoing basis you will lead and support the business decisions by actively adding value through driving the growth of the set areas related to the international export part of Pågen. At the same time, you keep an eye on the future and steer the company’s future international product portfolio development!

Your responsibilities will include: 

  • Setting up a new efficient structure where the International BU becomes a key part of the organization
  • Focus on profitable as well as sustainable growth for the International BU and markets
  • Revise and implement an efficient and operational structure for International counterparts as wells in relation to the other internal functions
  • Be a part of developing and implementing the future "bite size" portfolio strategy for the International markets
  • Lead the international teams based outside of Sweden
  • Contribute with business cases and insights from the international markets in terms of launching new products and innovation projects related to the bread category
  • Represent the business externally, building strategic relationships across the markets
  • Accelerate the Customer, Principal as well as Distribution Management areas together with the relevant stakeholders
  • Capitalize on synergies within Category Management and increase the focus on Marketing & Trade marketing for the international customers!

Who are you?

We see that you have the relevant competencies from many successful years of Key Account Management as well as development. It’s important that you have held a leading role including team responsibility from an international consumer sales environment. You have good understanding of how FMCG businesses operate across different markets, and you can make informed decisions and recommendations that are aligned with strategy and organizational targets.

  • You have excellent interpersonal skills - you are skilled influencing and getting through ideas in the organization at all levels and you recognize the different needs of your stakeholders
  • You have a business-oriented approach and experience of successfully driving strategic international key account development projects
  • You have a hands-on, no nonsense and can-do attitude and approach
  • You are motivated by challenges and thirsty as well as have the courage to learn new things. You want to achieve results and win together with your team!
  • You constantly see opportunities around you and work together with your team and your customers to created “win-win” situations together!
  • Your educational background may include an M.Sc. in Economics or other relevant academic degree
  • You work fluently in English (other Scandinavian languages is a plus as well)
