About the role


Reporting to the HR Director EMEA you will be responsible for the general HR management across the Nordic region. The Nordic region includes a number of office locations, as well as a factory and distribution center in Sweden. You will manage all day-to-day HR priorities across the region, working closely with the rest of the HR team and the Payroll Manager for Europe. This is a broad generalist role which requires a flexible and proactive mindset, together with strong generalist HR knowledge and experience. You will be part of a wider EMEA team, as well as a global HR team, so previous international exposure would be highly desirable.
This role is based in Pure Fishing’s new Copenhagen office in Denmark, and hybrid working is available between home and office. Some occasional travel may be required in this role to our various locations across Europe, particularly our Svangsta location in Sweden. Main responsibilities:

 
  • Managing and supporting the HR team to ensure work is effectively prioritized and actioned, using the appropriate tools and processes in the most efficient way.
  • Leading all recruitment activity ensuring alignment with EMEA colleagues where needed.
  • Driving the performance management process (Pure Success), ensuring goals and development plans are completed and training plans are actioned accordingly.
  • Managing all Employee Relations issues, communicating with the union as needed, and dealing with any reorganisations or exits in the most effective way.
  • Ensuring all HR data and systems are accurate and updated at all times, linking in with EMEA and US colleagues where appropriate; providing relevant headcount reports and updates as requested.
  • Leading a review of all contracts of employment, aligning terms and conditions where appropriate and ensuring legal compliance.
  • Leading the H&S agenda together with other senior team members.
  • Leading the Pure Health & Wellbeing agenda across the region, organizing appropriate regular themes and events.
  • Overseeing a number of benefit programs, including the pension scheme, life assurance, healthcare scheme, company car fleet and mobile phones.
  • Supporting with the budgeting process and giving input into relevant costing plans.
  • Managing the annual pay review and bonus process for the region.
  • Ensuring the payroll process is effectively managed, working closely with the Payroll Manager.
  • Developing, updating, and maintaining relevant policies and procedures where needed, ensuring legal compliance, and fit for purpose.
  • Organising regular communications activities, e.g., newsletters, team calls, email updates, etc.
  • Managing other similar ad hoc projects and activities as required.

Required profile:

 
  • A good standard of education, preferably to university degree level in a relevant discipline.
  • A relevant HR qualification is highly desirable.
  • At least 5 years’ progressive experience in a similar HR Manager role is essential.
  • Specific HR experience in Sweden and Denmark is essential, as well as any experience across the wider European region.
  • English and Swedish/Danish languages skills are essential, and additional language skills would be an added benefit.
  • A high level of proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Experience of additional systems would be an added advantage.
  • The ability to build strong working relationships with the senior team and provide business partnering support is required.
  • Previous experience of supervising a small team is highly desirable.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills are essential, with strong customer service skills.
  • The ability to plan and organize a busy workload across multiple groups and locations, often working to tight deadlines.
  • Some experience of working across an international and/or European business is preferred.
  • The ability to work strictly confidentially and to provide a highly professional service.
  • The ability to demonstrate a positive attitude, flexibility, and a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Able to build effective working relationships with a wide range of employees across multiple locations, cultures, and languages.
