The role
The CEO/ Factory Director for SG Armaturen is a strategic and operational leadership role responsible for the overall performance and stability of SG Produktion A/S in Odense. Reporting directly to the Chairman of SG Produktion and Executive Vice President of SG Armaturen AS, the CEO will lead a team of approx.. 15 direct reports and ensure that production runs efficiently to meet business goals. This role requires a hands-on leader with a down-to-earth approach and strong people management skills who can drive the organization towards improved self-sufficiency and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Leadership & People Management: Oversee and support a workforce of around 120 employees, including 15 direct reports and blue-collar production teams, ensuring effective people management and organizational alignment to achieve production targets.
- Operational Oversight: Ensure stable, efficient production and oversee new machinery integration in collaboration with the production and R&D teams in Odense, focusing on continuous improvement and stability within manufacturing processes.
- Financial & Budgetary Control: Prepare and present annual budgets and financial plans, ensuring financial decisions align with the broader objectives of SG Armaturen. Collaborate with the finance team to maintain oversight of financial activities, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and company guidelines.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with key leaders across SG Armaturen, including the CTO, Market Director, and IT Manager, to maintain cohesive strategies and streamline operations. Liaise with country managers in other SG companies to foster synergy across the group.
- Customer & Sales Responsibility: Lead direct sales efforts with key external customers, aiming to provide both high-quality production and service-oriented, customizable solutions to meet specific client needs.
Qualifications and Experience
- Master’s degree in production, management, finance, or a related field is required.
- Proven experience in a similar leadership role within a production or manufacturing environment
- Strong insight into financial management and budgetary control in an industrial setting.
- A demonstrated track record of results is essential.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to guide and inspire a diverse team.
- Strategic mindset and problem-solving abilities, combined with a proactive, reliable, and responsible work ethic.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Hands-on approach with a practical understanding of production processes and financial oversight.
