We are looking for a highly motivated and hands-on Senior Finance Manager for the DACH (Germany, Austria & Switzerland) entities.
The role’s mission is to ensure accurate financial reporting, internal and external compliance, financial leadership, analysis capability and general services management. The role holder will collaborate with the local leadership team, providing financial guidance and analysis in order to reach the company’s objectives, in accordance with the decisions of the Board of the Company, HQ guidelines and all applicable laws and regulations.

The role holder will be responsible for organising, managing and developing a team located in Cologne (Germany), reporting to the F&A Director Europe


  • Responsible for the preparation/review of month end, including management accounts, ensuring timely reporting within Group deadlines
  • Lead work from Trial Balance, upload, reconciliation and checks of monthly closing in Oracle BI/HFM, ensuring  proper revenue and cost allocation   
  • Responsible for the preparation of financial statements for statutory filing requirements, in coordination with Group Accounting Department
  • Preparation of detailed review / reports / analyses of actual results for both internal use and management presentations on a monthly basis, in order to provide an accurate understanding of the financial evolution of the company to leadership team as well as to Top Management
  • Analysis and tracking of P&L actuals vs Budget / LY, identifying key drivers, providing valuable business insights, and proposing ways for improvement and resource allocation
  • Work closely side-by-side with Local leadership team to understand, map and track in order to improve business and customer profitability
  • Ad-hoc commercial/profitability analyses for new launches, business initiatives, local price policy and various customer- related topics
  • Monitor structure costs and execute savings/efficiency projects
  • Responsible for planning process, leading and supporting forecasting and budgeting processes in coordination with the Regional FP&A and Group Controlling  
  • Responsible for tax compliance including CIT, VAT and other statutory filings, in coordination with Group Tax
  • Oversee Accounts Receivable in coordination with Global Credit Manager, ensuring effective cash collection
  • Operate a robust control environment:
    • Update and embed policies and guidelines in the finance team and the wider organisation
    • Ensure system controls reflect agreed delegations and approval limits
    • Review and test control environment in line with company guidelines and put in place identified improvements
  • Supports on legal matters (including elaboration of legal contracts), in coordination with HR, HQ legal Dpt. and local legal advisors  
  • Support Group’s external audit process
  • Responsible for the local office ensuring office is run efficiently (maintenance, supplies, equipment, servers, correspondence)
  • Coach and develop local finance team


  • BS/MA degree in Finance, Business Administration or similar fields.
  • 12+ years of experience in Finance, at least 7 years’ experience as a Finance & Administration Manager, preferably in multinational companies
  • Preferred experience in forecasting and reporting tools including Oracle, SAP BW and HFM, advanced MS Excel skills
  • Team player, positive and problem solving attitude as well as willingness to learn and share competencies
  • Negotiation skills and ability to develop strong  working relationships
  • Commercial and business acumen
  • Good communication skills in English – both written and verbal
  • A keen eye for detail and desire to probe further into data with strong analytical skills
  • Ability to stick to time constraints
  • Open minded and critical thinking
  • People management experience
