Kepak Foods Division have developed a portfolio of brands that are successful in the chilled convenience and frozen meat categories in the UK, Ireland and chosen European markets for both Retail and Foodservice Customers.
 

Role

The role is based in Germany with travel to customers across Germany required and some international travel within Europe.

To demonstrate a good understanding of the German Food to Go sector and drive the development of Kepak sales with key accounts by working with central Key Account contacts at National level while also building intimacy with their operations at regional & store level.
Delivery of the business goals and objectives in line with our EU sales strategy through a coordinated sales process and best in class customer management execution.

  • Support our Market Entry Strategy by developing new and existing customer base with a specific focus on cooking, sampling, presenting, and selling the Kepak product portfolio in line with our consultative model.
  • Responsible for effective account planning (Joint Business Plans/JBPs) that are fully aligned with Brand Plans to deliver consistency of execution & activation of key Customers whilst maximizing return on investment for the business.
  • Effective financial control and management of the key elements within the Sales operation (Debtors, forecast accuracy, sales funnel management, trade investment, promotional activity) in line with Business targets.
  • Responsible for input & participation in the CDT (Channel Development Team) meetings and process, incorporating cross-functional support to ensure tangible outputs and actions in line with business objectives.
  • Engage with operators at store level to understand any challenges with the execution of our product range and working collaboratively to identify solutions.
  • Being an ambassador for our products, services, brands and the company across both external and internal stakeholders.
  • Responsible for the delivery of agreed commercial KPIs e.g. Margin/Volume/Revenue/Growth for your designated territory.
  • Support and manage the development of high potential leads (key accounts)- develop business cases (investment and cross functional support) for review & approval by the Senior Management Team.
  • Responsible for the development of strong customer relationships to ensure delivery of our growth strategy.
  • Comfortable to demonstrate the core Kepak flame cooked range to customers while following food safety procedures.
  • Develop effective working relationships across all relevant key functions within the business, with a focus on respecting everyone’s views and helping facilitate an aligned & collaborative approach to solving issues together as one Team.

Requirements

  • Essential to be fluent (written and spoken) in German and English.
  • Previous Account Management/ Business Development experience preferably within the food/ food-to-go industry.
  • IT literate in particular good working knowledge of MS Office applications.
  • Relevant qualifications in any of the following disciplines an advantage – Business, Food Business, Strategic Sales Management, Culinary or similar.
  • Full clean driving licence.
  • Eligible to work and travel within the EU.
  • Proven track record in identifying new profitable sales opportunities
