Our History

1988
Nigel Wright had a clear vision of the way recruitment should be when he opened a financial recruitment service in North Street, Newcastle upon Tyne with the aim of recruiting qualified accountants across the North East.

1991
The business was so successful that it expanded into larger offices on North Street East.

1994
Expanding into Search and Selection, Nigel Wright initially focused on recruiting senior executives for a number of North East organisations.

1998
As the business continued to expand focus was widened to take in Management Selection, while another change of premises was also called for with a move to the historic former home of Alderman Fenwick.

1999
As the Nigel Wright ethos broadened its base, business grew with the launch of the Testing and Assessment, IT, HR and Legal divisions.

2000
Staff numbers rose to 35 with the creation of Sales and Marketing, and Operations and Supply Chain divisions.

2001
Specialist divisions encompassing the consumer products, automotive and aerospace, and the food and drink industries were rolled out to recruit on a nationwide basis.

2003
Prestigious new offices on Newcastle upon Tyne’s Grey Street were called for as the business continued to go from strength to strength with 70 employees.

2005
A 2-5 year business plan was initiated to take Nigel Wright to 170 specialist consultants each with a full international remit

2006
Nigel Wright took on additional floor space at its Grey Street offices to cope with the expanding workforce.
