Non Permanent Recruitment

Working for Non Permanent Recruitment

Recognising the changing demands on today’s workforce, our established Non Permanent division can offer recruitment solutions to both clients and candidates. The team is made up of highly experienced consultants who have extensive expertise in handling temporary, interim and contract assignments. Our consultants can handle roles from junior and entry level through to senior management and director level across various disciplines including finance, human resources, information technology, operations and commercial.

Outlined below are some key points about our service as well as useful information regarding the non permanent market. For any further information and advice please contact one of our consultants on 0191 222 0770.

Timesheets

Nigel Wright Recruitment offers an online timesheet facility through our website to both our clients and candidates. This allows a fast and efficient way to manage authorisation of hours worked and payment of salary, making the overall process easier for everyone involved.

Payment

Our dedicated payroll team can offer advice to all non permanent and contract candidates and clients, reinforcing the professional and personal service we offer as a company. Nigel Wright Recruitment provides an e-payslip to all our non permanent workers. Payments are received on a weekly or monthly basis depending on the agreement made in advance with your consultant.

Holiday pay

The European Working Time Directive stipulates, as of 1st October 2007, that all employees should receive 24 days paid holiday, which includes bank holidays.

National Insurance and tax

Nigel Wright Recruitment will deduct PAYE (Pay As You Earn) tax and National Insurance (NI) from your salary automatically. If you are working in the UK for the first time you will need to complete a P46 form and apply for a NI number. You can obtain a P46 form from your consultant.

To apply for a NI number, contact the Department of Social Security on 020 7712 2171, who will inform you of their nearest office. We strongly recommend that you obtain a NI number, as this registers your eligibility for state benefits, including free hospital and doctors’ services.

If you wish to work through a limited company, we recommend that you seek independent, professional advice regarding the set-up and operation of such a company. This is particularly important in the light of the Government’s anti-tax avoidance legislation, IR35.  For further information on IR35, visit the Inland Revenue website: www.inlandrevenue.gov.uk

Visa

To be considered for temporary or contract roles, you must have the right to work in the UK. If you are not a British, EC or EEA national, we shall reject your application unless you have secured, or are eligible for, a UK visa. Unfortunately we are not able to assist you in securing sponsorship through a UK company.

If you are unsure about your visa status for the UK, please refer to www.ukvisas.gov.uk for further information.
