Young’s is Britain’s most famous name in fish. Building on its 200 year heritage, Young’s uses both modern and traditional skills to produce a vast range of top quality frozen and chilled seafood, all sold under the Young’s brand. Everything Young’s does is driven by its passion for fish as one of the healthiest and most delicious natural foods. It is a pioneer in responsibly sourced seafood and a UK market leader in products made using Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) accredited fish from sustainable sources.

Young’s has a turnover of more than £300m a year and is based in Grimsby, the natural home of British fish. The majority of its 2,000 staff are based there, with around 50 at specialist scampi facilities in Scotland and Northern Ireland.

  • Young’s is the UK’s biggest brand in fish. It has more than 40% of the market for frozen fish products and 37% of the market in chilled.
  • Young’s total turnover is in excess of £300m.
  • Young’s history dates back more than 200 years to its foundation by Elizabeth Young in 1805, on the banks of the river Thames. In the 19th century it was a supplier to the famous ‘Whitebait Feasts’ attended by statesmen such as Gladstone and Asquith.
