Winterbotham Darby is a successful, visionary and award winning food business, specialising primarily in bespoke product development.

The company has a proven track record of innovation and sales growth through having a real passion for food, and it continues to experience a strong performance with retailers in both own label and branded product development.

The three principal trading divisions (Chilled Delicatessen, Confectionery and Speciality Foods) have established relationships with the major multiples based on a proven track record of delivering the highest levels of product and packaging innovation, sales growth, supply chain management and value added customer service.

Speciality Foods

The Speciality Foods division boasts an extensive portfolio of quality products, and the key areas which have been developed are the Ambient Continental bakery lines from brioche to individually wrapped croissants, all supplied from France; the Chilled Continental desserts range consisting of authentic French tarts to crème brulee, and within the UK, the business works with a site called Farmhouse Fare producing traditional English puddings and biscuits.

Chilled Delicatessen

The Chilled Delicatessen division has developed a range of chilled cooked/cured continental hams and salamis from seven different countries, as well as an extensive range of olives and antipasti with their partner in Italy. This department has also developed a range of premium traditional pâtes from sites in France and Belgium, and is currently working with a UK Vegetarian breading site to develop premium quality breaded and battered vegetables.

Confectionary

The Confectionary division is responsible for developing an extensive range of chocolate confectionery from famous chocolate locations of Belgium, France, Switzerland and even Germany. Individually wrapped Belgian assortments, mint crisps and truffles can be packed at our third party packing facility near their offices in Merstham, allowing us to customise many products to individual tastes. The confectionery department is mainly seasonal with chocolates for every occasion, including Valentines, Easter and Christmas.
