Baxters Food Group is an international food manufacturing business with a range of instantly recognisable products and brands. The organisation is a UK based, family owned business with a history of premium food manufacture stretching back to 1868. The business has grown rapidly in the last 10 years since Audrey Baxter, representing the fourth generation of the Baxter family, took over the role as company Chairman and Chief Executive in 1999.
The Baxters story began in 1868 when George Baxter borrowed £100 to open a small grocery shop in Fochabers. When he started the business, George constantly exhorted himself, and those around him, to "be different, be better". The same ethos is an inspiration to the firm today, and especially to the people who work there. From humble beginnings Baxters has grown to become one of the UK’s premium food manufacturers, with over 150 fine food products and some of the country’s leading brands to our name. The Group’s ambition is to double in size from today, so it needs to grow organically and by acquisition.

Soups
After serving their famous heart-warming soup recipes to the British public for more than 80 years, Baxters have re-launched their entire soup portfolio. New recipes and ranges, improved flavours and fresh new-look packaging went in-store nationwide in Autumn 2009.
Favourites – A collection of classic cookbook favourites, created from much loved recipes to provide a taste of the Baxters family kitchen.
Vegetarian – Inspired by the vegetable garden, Baxters vegetarian soups are an interesting selection of familiar recipes with an added twist to provide a light and fresh taste.
Healthy – These healthy, nutritionally balanced soups have been specifically designed to deliver natural fibre, protein, carbohydrate and energy benefits. Low in fat, each can also provides you with 2 of your 5 a day.
Chunky – Baxters Chunky soups are delicious, filling and wholesome.
Deli Inspired – Deli inspired is a unique range of delicious soups influenced by the spirit and fresh global produce of fine food delicatessens.
Luxury – A distinctive range of rich and deeply flavoured restaurant inspired recipes, created from the finest ingredients the seasons have to offer.
Chutneys
Baxters started making chutneys in 1971, when Gordon and Ena had an abundance of tomatoes and cucumbers in their garden. Today their chutney recipes are created in the Baxters development kitchen, where dedicated chefs ensure the highest quality for all customers.
Beetroot
Making the finest quality beetroot has been part of the Baxters heritage since the 1920s. Today every beetroot is still hand selected by a member of the Baxters team so it is no wonder that beetroot lovers across the globe often say that Baxters beetroot is their favourite.
Condiments
Baxters pride themselves on the range of high quality products they produce and their condiments are no exception. They taste so great everyone will think they are homemade.
Preserves
Baxters have been making preserves since 1868, when George Baxter and his wife Margaret set up the family business making jam with local fruit from the Gordon Estate in Fochabers. Today Baxters preserves are still based on these classic family recipes, and made by blending the best fruit varieties to create a deep and rich fruit flavour.
