My client is a major fashion and sportswear manufacturer supplying both fashion and sport retail. An international conglomerate, the business own a variety of high profile, instantly recognisable brands within the fashion, footwear and sportswear arena.A rare opportunity has arisen as Head of Marketing for their footwear division.

Role

As part of the senior management team within the Footwear Division you will use your specialist marketing skills to develop strategic marketing activities to enhance a varied portfolio of brands within the Footwear Division, leading a creative marketing team to deliver strategic plans in line with wider business objectives and manage and execute a pipeline of marketing activity within budget and to deadlines.This will be acheived through developing an understanding of the business objectives and product life-cycle to align marketing activities accordingly, ensuring consistency of message across all elements of brand management, providing leadership skills that provide direction, ownership, support, development and challenge to a marketing team from a variety of disciplines. You will also effectively manage the budget, PR and Stakeholder relationships to name but a few of the key areas in this all encompassing and varied role.

Ideal Person

Of degree calibre you will have an excellent track record of marketing success from fashion, retail or fmcg. You will be experienced in a range of media, from digital, online and offline including guerrilla marketing, social networking combined with a strong understanding of PR, creative graphic design, digital marketing, trade marketing and an appreciation of how these all work together. An understanding of wholesale is advantageous but above all this is a very people focussed role and an ability to lead, inspire and motivate is essential in this international business with people at the very core of its sucess.
