As a fast moving business we are constantly striving to improve our service to both our internal and external customers. Consequently our news section does not set out to record every press release but aims to highlight the things that we think are important and relevant to both our clients and our staff.

Community Contribution

The Nigel Wright Foundation is a committee set up by Nigel in 2007 which serves to both raise funds and distribute donations to worthy causes nationwide.

Over the last 12 months we have made significant donations to both National charities (such as Barnardos, Teenage Cancer Trust and Guide Dogs for the Blind), and North East charities (such as Woodlawn School and 3H Fund). In addition we have sponsored several Nigel Wright employees taking part in various sporting events in order to raise money for their chosen charities. We encourage applications from all employees on behalf of any charities they are currently associated with or feel strongly about supporting.

We’re ‘one to watch’ in the Sunday Times ‘Best Companies to Work For’ list

Nigel Wright Recruitment were delighted to be placed for the second year in the ‘one to watch’ category of the 2009 Best Companies list.

This is the ninth year that the lists have been published, and are the result of a wide-scale survey of employees from 565 organisations in the UK.

Nigel Wright North East Accountancy Awards 2009

Finance and Accounting professionals from across the region will be celebrating their successes for the third year running at the Nigel Wright North East Accountancy Awards 2009.

The organisers of the Awards are calling for nominations from individuals, teams, branches and companies who hope to have their achievements recognised by the industry. These are the only awards in the region to have the full support of all of the accountancy bodies, ICAEW, CIMA, CIPFA, ACCA and AAT, which is valuable recognition of the scale and credibility of this event.

What are you worth?/What should you pay?

As a company that is at the core of recruitment in the UK, we consider it important to continue to bring our clients and candidates relevant, useful information, in an accessible format.

This year, the company’s in-house Marketing and Design department has produced two salary surveys. The first is a UK-wide survey covering all disciplines in which the company operates.  The second focuses on the UK consumer sector in more detail. 

The surveys follow a similar format, starting with general points of interest such as employee satisfaction and motivation to change roles. This is followed by an in-depth analysis of salaries, benefits and bonuses received, split by discipline.
