This was a very important hire for the Group and myself and the board took time to agree on the qualities that this individual would bring to the business. Essentially, I was looking for a 'co-pilot'; a business focused CFO that would have a higher position within the Group. The consultant at Nigel Wright understood this and presented a strong shortlist of candidates that gave us a difficult choice.
